Windows all the way across the front overlooking Lake Huron, make this space light and airy. The master bedroom, second bedroom and the bathroom are located off the living area. The kitchen is well equipped.
Countryside and Coastline is the place to be. People visit this area to reconnect with nature, eat local food, attend events and relax. There are lots to see and do in this lovely area. Provincial Parks, beaches, cycling, hiking, golf, fishing, dining, shopping, sports, theatre and art galleries. Pretty lakeside towns and villages, will keep the country explorers happy. Whatever your particular country activity, there is something for you here.

1.1. Cancellations made 30 or more days in advance: you can elect to apply the full amount of your deposit towards a future stay with us (within 1 year) or Owner shall refund to the Tenant all monies paid (whether deposit or full payment has been made), less a service charge of $50.
1.2.Cancellations made less than 30 days in advance: no refund, regardless of reason, unless we get the cottage rented for the entire original period, in which case, you get a refund of your deposit less a $50 handling/processing fee.
1.3. In the unlikely event that circumstances beyond the Property Owner's control necessitate the cancellation of the rental arrangement, the Property Owner reserves the right to cancel any bookings at any time and will only be liable to refund monies already paid by the Tenant.
1.4. The Tenant expressly acknowledges that in no event shall the Property Owner be held liable for any consequential or secondary damages including, but not limited to, any expenses incurred as a result of travel, cost of re-renting, etc.
1.5. No refunds due to weather, road conditions, change of plans, or early departures. All Tenants are financially responsible for the entire booking once your reservation has been made. The Property Owner is not responsible for damages incurred due to weather or cost to evacuate Tenants or vehicles.
1.6. In the late fall, winter, and early spring it is not uncommon to occasionally have hazardous road conditions. It is strongly recommended that all Tenants during these seasons have four-wheel drive and/or winter tires. Winter road conditions and maintenance are not guaranteed. No refunds due to road conditions.
We therefore suggest that travel cancellation insurance be taken out for all parties included.
If reservation is within 30 days of arrival, 100% payment is required.

For the balance payment, approximately 30 days prior to arrival, we will contact you via e-mail (used in initial booking) to notify you of the final charge that will be automatically charged to your credit card that is on file with our merchant. (unless written prior arrangements have been made and agreed to.)
INVENTORY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT: We use a credit card "authorization only" hold, rather than a cash inventory/damage deposit.
CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION: You understand and consent to the use of the credit card you have provided, without original signature on the charge slip for all Cottage charges and as an "authorization only" hold for either rental charges due or the inventory-damage deposit. An acceptable credit card with a credit limit high enough to cover the Inventory/Damage deposit must be on file prior to arrival. You agree that authorization of your credit card will not be revoked and will not terminate until 60 days after the leased premises are vacated. Nothing will be charged to your account without your knowledge.
We had no idea of just how quiet and peaceful Lake Huron would be. We are new to Canada; this is only our 4th visit. Most of these have been spent in the greater Toronto area on business. We needed space from the city and all I can say is that you have got it in spades at Port Albert.
I guess that it might get busy in high summer, but we came late in the year, arrived in the dark a gale, and left on a sun filled, quiet peaceful cold autumn morning. We saw more geese than people and more ships than cars. We spent hours alone on that wondrous beach just listening to the gulls, the waves and the wind.
The house was just perfect. Warm, welcoming and plenty of space. We arrived on Halloween to a welcome of pumpkins and little lights. Wine, fruits, cheese and background music were part of the welcome pack. The internet works perfectly and there is good mobile signal.
Keith is around for help and advice, but has a very light touch! We met again to say goodbye and to offer our thanks for a brief but memorable stay. Thank you Keith, your place is just amazing.
